In order to prove how ready he is for the job, Perry has created the most crazypants campaign advertisement I have ever seen in my life.

Yeah. You heard right.  You just saw people saying, “Are you f*cking kidding me?” and “What the f*ck?” in James Perry’s mayoral campaign ad.

With a campaign like this he can probably always get a job as a writer on Saturday Night Live if he doesn’t win.  I’m not sh*tting you.

The New York Times asks the questions, “Does the White House Feel like a frat house?” in an article it published over the weekend.  Calling the President a “First Guy’s Guy” the article cites a recent incident that set women’s advocate groups and liberal bloggers going.  The incident was a high level all-male basket ball game that was hosted by the President.  The criticism being that women are seemingly left out of a lot of high level bonding experiences that male staffers get to enjoy.

The larger issue with this isn’t really that women wish they were shooting hoops with the President (although I am sure there are some who wish they were), but that women are possibly also being left out of the boys club when the President is making big decisions.  From the NYT article:

‘ He presides over a White House rife with fist-bumping young men who call each other “dude” and testosterone-brimming personalities like Rahm Emanuel, the often-profane chief of staff; Lawrence Summers, the brash economic adviser; and Robert Gibbs, the press secretary, who habitually speaks in sports metaphors …. (the) White House has battled an impression dating to the presidential campaign that Mr. Obama’s closest advisers form a boys’ club and that he is too frequently in the company of only men. ‘

What bothered me the most about this article was the President’s reaction to the criticism.  In an interview he called the attention being brought to the basket ball game incident “bunk”.  Most insulting, he often points out that he is surrounded by strong women, backing up this claim by pointing out he is the only male member at home.  Comparing your family to the people who you surround yourself with at work is not cool, dude.

Let’s all hope for a day in the future where maybe we are upset because a future President who happens to be a women is surrounding herself with too many girlfriends in the White House.  It’s impossible to imagine, I know.

More people now approve of Hillary Clinton than they do of Barack Obama.

In a recent poll published in Politico, Clinton has a 62% approval rating compared to Obama’s 56% approval rating.  This is great news for all the people worried that Clinton was being “marginalized” as Secretary of State (I’m talking to you Ann Curry).

The results are based on an October 1-4 Gallup poll.

Just like her husband Barack Obama and many other political luminaries, Michelle Obama is getting her own action figure.  I recently did a similar posting to this titled Michele Bachmann Action Figure = Sexypants, and even though that doll is smoking hot, only 50 have sold so far.

The Michelle Obama action figure comes to us courtesy of Jailbreak Toys.  What makes this particular political action figure so sexypants?  First of all, it is the first one that I know of to appear without sleeves, a nod I believe to the First Lady’s incredibly toned arms.  Also, the doll comes in three different outfits all inspired by Michelle’s signature looks, making her a true fashion doll.

I mean really, this doll is more Barbie than it is G.I. Joe.

When Berlusconi was interrupeted by Bindi he said to her, “I recognize you are increasingly more beautiful than you are intelligent.”

Bindi replied to him, “I am not one of the women at your disposal, Prime Minister.”

Ever since the insult a large group of people including women’s groups and online activists have been demanding that Prime Minister Berlusconi apologize to Ms. Bindi.  She has said in a statement, “I responded on behalf of all women, not to defend myself from the offence given by Berlusconi, which doesn’t bother me at all. I have received no apology, and neither do I want one. The Prime Minister ought to apologize instead to the court and the President of the Republic.”

Mr. Berlusconi’s spokesman Mr. Bonaiuti, the Prime Minister’s spokesman, said “Bindi? These are moments of white heat, it can happen. . .”

A number of social network groups have shown up supporting Rosy Bindi.  There is an online campaign called, “We are all Rosy Bindi” (Siamo Tutti Rosi Bindi) and a number of Facebook groups such as, “SOLIDARIETA’ PER ROSY BINDI”.

Mr. Berlusconi has said that he loves women but many believe that he only loves women for things such as youth and beauty.

He compared views on the new Muse album to the George Orwell book 1984 and said they expressed the idea if you don’t watch out the government will come and get you.  Beck went on to say that is a view he himself shares.  By the end of the broadcast he had been contacted by the representatives for the band Muse and asked to retract his statement.
