Today Democratic Senator from Minnesota Al Franken was a guest on the FM107.1 show “Ian & Margery”. During the interview, Ian asked Senator Franken about a recent posting on the website Buzzfeed titled, “Al Franken’s Hot Aides“.  The text on the Buzzfeed posting reads:

‘ One of the perks of being Senator of Minnesota is that you get to surround yourself with attractive women. I think it’s in the state constitution or something.’

The conversation between Senator Franken and Ian and Margery Punnett of “Ian & Margery” went something like this:

Ian Punnet (IP):  … (do you have any) comments on having the hottest aides in Washington Senator Franken?

Senator Franken (SF): I have a great staff, and many of the men on the staff are very good looking.

Margery Punnet (MP):  … that’s par for the course in Washington.  It is the land of good looking young people.

SF:  I’m 58 and most of my staff does look better than me.

IP:  Maybe that’s part of it?  In the photos they’re standing next to you?

SF:  Yes, the contrast.  Usually they are behind me so they also get the benefit of a soft focus.

Last Friday night was the big FM107.1 Boo(b) Bash to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure for Breast Cancer.  I met Jason Matheson and Alexis Thompson from The Jason Matheson Show there along with other friends. My costume was Sexy Pirate (pictured above).  Jason, Alexis, and gang dressed up like the Adams Family with Jason as Gomez, Alexis as daughter Wednesday, Kristen as Morticia, and Ryan as son Pugsley.  A couple of fans who listen to the show and knew about the Addams Family theme came to the party dressed as Grandma and Cousin It.

Most of the host of the other FM107.1 shows were also there, in costume, and Jason introduced everyone to the crowd.

After the Boo(b) Bash we headed to The Big Gay Halloween (It’s Bigger, It’s Gayer, It’s Halloweenier).  For the record, I want everyone to know that I love Gay Halloween. For those of you who don’t know what Gay Halloween is, here is a clip from last week’s 30 Rock that will explain it for you:

At the Big Gay Halloween we met up with one of the other contributers to Jason’s Show, Wanda Wisdom (a.k.a. Bradley Traynor).  Sporting a gold lame pantsuit and clear lucite necklace, Wanda looked amazing on Halloween, and she was the life of the party.
