I’m one of the Twin Cities best bloggers that is.  What is Twin Cities Spark?  It is a website that puts the spotlight on local Minneapolis and St. Paul bloggers.  The focus is people who are local to the Twin Cites and whose primary focus is in the surrounding area.  I have to say I am flattered to be one of the “spotlighted” bloggers.  Doing the interview was fun and I think the whole thing turned out really great.

One of the questions they asked me during the interview was why I decided to start Just JudyJudyJudy.  I started it for a number of reasons, all of which you can read in the interview.  A big reason I started it is that I have noticed blogging seems like a bit of a boys club and I want to get a female voice in the mix.  Some people can disagree with this and it is certainly just my opinion.

The reason I say this is because so many men take blogs that other men write more seriously than the blogs that women write.  I also noticed that women tend to be called “mommy bloggers”, a term that I hate.  There is no such thing as a “daddy blogger” even though many men who blog have children.  I thought it was important with my blog to have a woman’s point of view on a variety of different topics with no reflection on my position as a wife, mother, or other womanly obligations I might have.  I wrote a post some time back on how more men blog than women titled, “Why Don’t More Babes Blog: Where My Ladies At?”  read it for more info on this topic.
