Bethenny Frankel from Real Housewives New York, Please Call Jason Matheson

In a simple Tweet sent out on the evening of June 9, 2010, myTalk107.1 host Jason Matheson declared that he wanted Bethenny Frankel from “Real Housewives New York City” and “Bethenny Getting Married” to call into his radio show (Jason & Alexis, 1-3pm M-F on myTalk 107.1 FM).  The thing is, when Jason puts something like this out into the “Twit-i-shpere” things start to happen.  To get everything out in the open, yes, Jason is a friend of mine.  I have also from time to time been a contributor on his radio show.  I am currently a contributor on The Weekend Buzz with Jason Matheson, that airs on Fox 9 (Jason is also a TV host on Fox 9).

The first time Jason had the goal of getting someone to call into his radio show it was 2009 and the person he wanted to call in was none other than Katie Couric.  The declaration spawned a very popular Facebook group named, “Katie Couric please call Jason Matheson and give him a CBS hat & mug“.  Soon we were Tweeting Katie regularly, telling her to call into the show plus doing other kinds of stunts to make it happen.  Before long word got back to Jason and his radio show that Katie’s people had seen the Facebook group and thought it was hilarious.  Katie did call into the show and has done it a few times since.  Katie has even “DM’ed” me at times to check what time to call the show.

As you have seen from Jason’s Tweet at the start of this post, the goal for this year is for the lovely and talented Bethenny Frankel to call in. Why?  Because we love her.  Most importantly Jason loves her!  A Facebook group already been started. Please join it and support our movement.

But don’t just stop at joining the Facebook page! There are other ways you can help our cause.  Follow Bethenny on Twitter and let her know how you feel about Jason Matheson and her calling into her show.  We can’t launch a successful social media campaign without your help.  It’s also fun because Bethenny is an active Twitter user with great Tweets such as this:
