My Dad Deploy’s Maternity Ward For Loons At His Lake House
In an earlier post titled, “My Dad is building a maternity ward for loons at his lake house” I explained what a Loon raft is and why my Dad is building one at is lake house. In a nutshell, the Loon population in Northern Minnesota is declining for a variety of reasons, but mainly because the Loons are not nesting. My dad is trying to solve the Loon nesting problem by building a Loon raft and giving the Loons on his lake a place to nest.
As soon as the ice went off the lake he deployed his Loon raft. So far he says he hasn’t heard any Loons. We will keep you posted on any and all developments of mating Loons.
