Tiger Woods Incident Gets Animated By Chinese = Case Closed!

Have you ever seen a TV news program use bad actors and a not so believable set to reenact at crime scence?  Well, imagine if the bad actors could be substituted for bad animation and all English traded in for Chinese.  If this is something you have been waiting for, wait no longer.

A Taiwanese news station has presented what I can only assume is a completely realistic account of the Tiger Woods incident – in full animation. Perhaps the animation was a last resort. As if they were about to shoot the reenactment with real actors only to realize that it’s virtually impossible to find a stand-in for Tiger Woods.

Despite my lack of understanding of the Chinese language, I can safely say: Case. Closed.

Even so, many bloggers are reacting perplexed at the virtual “reenactment”.  Here are what I think are the best reactions on the web:

TMZ: “There is no video of what went down between Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegen on the night of his accident — so the Chinese made one up!”

Videogum: “I don’t speak Chinese, but I think what happened here is pretty clear…Tiger crashed his CGI Grand Theft Auto car into a Matrix tree, and now he and his wife are starring in Veggie Tales 4: Golfing with God. MYSTERY SOLVED.”

ESPN’s “The Sports Guy”: “This clip should loop 24 hours a day on Comedy Central.”

The Awl: “We promised earlier that we would not again mention the Famous Golfer who is currently Embroiled in Controversy, but this video is WAY TOO GOOD not to share. Taiwanese animation makes everything more comprehensible. Stick with this one, it just keeps getting better.”

Deadspin: “Simply…incredible. We are through the looking glass, people.”

Hey I just wanted to let you know, I really like the written material on your website. But I am employing Flock on a machine running version 8.x of Ubuntu and the design aren’t quite satisfying. Not a important deal, I can still essentially read the articles and research for information, but just wanted to inform you about that. The navigation bar is kind of hard to use with the config I’m running. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for publishing about this. There’s a bunch of important tech information on the internet. You’ve got a lot of that info here on your web site. I’m impressed – I try to keep a couple blogs fairly on-going, but it’s a struggle sometimes. You’ve done a big job with this one. How do you do it?

Great article. There’s a lot of good info here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Fedora with the circulating beta of Firefox, and the design of your blog is kind of flaky for me. I can read the articles, but the navigation doesn’t function so great.

Americans love a come back. Once Tiger gets back into smashing everybody else in the world in the face at golf people will forget about his wife smashing in his SUV windows and possibly his face.

Thanks for posting some great postings and I’ll try to return back with a completely different browser to check things out! London,UK
